During 2018 Christmas holidays, we interviewed multiple realtors and chose Ritu Desai. Our experience selling our townhome with Ritu - Once we agreed to work with her, she came in immediately to walk-through the townhome to tell us how we can redo a little things to stage the house. Her ideas were fantastic. She did bring in a stager to help us with ideas too but advised us on where to spend and where not to waste money. She was pretty confident from day 1 on selling our townhome pretty easily. That gave us immense confidence in her. And, to reinstate our confidence, she was able to get an offer for our townhome in one weekend. I still remember her call at around 8 PM on a Sunday saying "Congratulations, we have an offer on your townhome". Our experience buying a SFM with Ritu - We started looking for a SFM with our current townhome sold and the market low on SFM inventory. With the inventory that was available, we either didn't like the house, schools, or the community. We were getting a little worried but Ritu was extremely patient in showing us the houses and not hurrying us. There were scenarios where she pulled in houses that came to the market for sale last year and that was not sold and contacted the owners and requested them for us to see the house. She went above and beyond. She was extremely knowledgeable and open in telling us the positives and negatives of each house was saw. Since she has school-going kids, she was extremely knowledgeable about schools which was very important to us. She also has amazing references to handyman, roofing company, and anybody you want. Ritu is a pandemic time proven agent! She is the ABSOLUTE BEST agent and saved us from getting lost in this unprecedented market. Early 2020, we listed with Ritu and went under a contract in 3 days but the contract fell through once all the gloomy news started pouring out on TV. Then the market changed and it changed A LOT. She stuck with us and guided us through this unpredictable time to sell our house. She evaluated buyers carefully and helped us to find the serious buyers among so many who were just poking around with low ball offers. MOST IMPORTANTLY, she fought against the disappointing appraisal for us and made the sale happened. We worked with Ritu from the day we decided that we want to purchase a new home which started back in June 2014 and ended this past June. Yes 2 years is how long it took us to find our dream home from start to finish! During this time frame we were never pressured to purchase a home by her. We met Ritu Desai in 2007 when we were considering about selling our small town home and moving up into a larger single family home possibly in Loudoun county Ashburn, Leesburg or South Riding area. However the market was extremely slow. Homes stayed on the market for months and handful of showings over a week. We interviewed Ritu and she recommended us to list the home and see how things go. If it does not sell we can always withdraw it without any cost to us. She was hosting open house every weekend.
